These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Gizcalc website at gizcalc.in (the "Platform"), operated by Gizcalc ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.

1. About Gizcalc

Gizcalc is a free online calculator platform built for Indian users. It provides estimation tools across finance, tax, loans, salary, health, education, unit conversion, and other categories. The Platform is intended for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using any part of the Platform — including calculators, account features, the notepad, or any content — you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone else who accesses the Platform.

3. No Financial, Legal, or Medical Advice

The calculators and tools on Gizcalc are designed for planning and estimation purposes only. Results from any calculator on this Platform should not be treated as professional financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, investment advice, or medical advice. Specifically:

  • Calculator results are based on the inputs you provide and standard formulas. Actual outcomes depend on current market conditions, lender policies, government regulations, employer terms, and other real-world factors.
  • Income tax estimates do not constitute tax filing advice. Tax liability depends on individual circumstances, deduction eligibility, regime choices, and official rules that may change. Always consult a qualified chartered accountant or tax advisor before filing returns.
  • Loan and EMI estimates are indicative. Actual EMI, interest rates, processing fees, prepayment penalties, and terms are determined by the lender and may vary from our estimates.
  • Health and fitness results (BMI, BMR, calorie goals, etc.) are screening indicators and not medical diagnoses. Always consult a qualified medical professional before making health decisions.
  • Investment projections assume constant return rates and do not account for market volatility, inflation variability, or fund-specific risks. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Gizcalc expressly disclaims all liability for decisions made based on calculator results or any content on the Platform.

4. User Accounts

Registered accounts on Gizcalc allow you to save calculation history. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your password with anyone.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Providing accurate information during registration. Using a false identity or impersonating another person is prohibited.
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or use the Platform for fraudulent purposes.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including calculator logic, article text, design, code, graphics, and branding — is the intellectual property of Gizcalc or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without prior written permission from Gizcalc.

You may share individual calculator result pages or link to them freely for personal, educational, or journalistic purposes with appropriate attribution.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable Indian or international law or regulation.
  • Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its servers.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
  • Interfere with or disrupt Platform infrastructure or other users' experience.
  • Use the Platform for commercial resale or white-labelling without a written agreement.

7. Affiliate and Partner Links

Some calculator pages on Gizcalc may display affiliate partner links or sponsored recommendations for financial products (loans, investments, insurance, etc.). Gizcalc may earn a commission if you apply for or purchase a product through these links. Affiliate recommendations do not influence the accuracy of calculator results. We only display partner links from institutions we consider reputable, but we are not responsible for the terms, quality, or outcome of any third-party financial product.

8. Advertising

Gizcalc may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or other advertising networks. These advertisements are chosen automatically based on page content and user behaviour. Gizcalc does not endorse any specific advertiser or their products. If you experience inappropriate ads, please report them through our Contact page.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gizcalc and its team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Financial losses resulting from reliance on calculator estimates.
  • Errors or inaccuracies in calculator results due to input mistakes or formula assumptions.
  • Delays, downtime, or service interruptions.
  • Unauthorised access to your account resulting from your own actions.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
